Bob Edmonds Joins Easterseals National Board

Edmonds Strategic Group is proud to announce that its Founder and CEO, Brigadier General David “Bob” Edmonds, USAF (Ret.), has been elected to the Easterseals National Board of Directors.

The election took place during Easterseals’ annual meeting in Chicago, where new board members and officers were appointed to advance the organization’s mission of empowering people with disabilities, older adults, veterans, and their families, reflecting a shared commitment to leadership, service, and community impact.

A Personal Commitment to Service

Bob’s election reflects decades of leadership and dedication. “I am honored to join the Easterseals National Board of Directors,” he said. “For more than a century, Easterseals has been a force for independence, dignity, and opportunity. I’m grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me, and I look forward to serving alongside such talented and committed leaders.”

He joins a cohort of experienced board members whose expertise will guide Easterseals and expand programs – from vocational services to community-based support – across communities nationwide.

Welcoming New Board Members

Alongside Gen Edmonds, Easterseals welcomed:

  • Mark Bertrand, retired Vice President of Space & Defense at Boeing Capital Corporation, bringing decades of corporate and aerospace experience.
  • Kelly Schneider, President & CEO, Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, Evansville, Indiana, recognized for expanding community programs.

Kendra E. Davenport, President & CEO of Easterseals, offered high praise: “We are honored to have the commitment of these exceptional corporate and nonprofit leaders. Their diverse expertise guides our work in delivering healthcare, education, and employment services, as well as advocacy, to millions of people with disabilities, including veterans and seniors.”

A Career of Service and Leadership

Bob brings more than 40 years of aerospace, defense, and national security experience. In his United States Air Force career, he was a F-15 commander, worked at the Pentagon, White House, and on Capitol Hill, and was promoted to Brigadier General in 2004. At Edmonds Strategic Group, he leads a consultancy helping organizations navigate complex challenges across the aerospace and defense ecosystem. He brings the same strategic leadership and dedication to his new role, where his experience is uniquely valuable to Easterseals in expanding programs for veterans and their families. His lifelong commitment to service now extends to the Easterseals board.
