Mike Powell

Mike Powell brings more than 30 years of defense technology, strategic growth, and business development experience to Edmonds Strategic Group. A recognized Counter-UAS and defense technology executive, Mike helps companies translate advanced capabilities into executable market strategies, customer engagements, industry partnerships, demonstrations, and program opportunities across the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. His expertise spans Counter-UAS, tactical radar and sensing, electronic warfare, resilient communications, command-and-control integration, and force protection. Mike works at the intersection of technology, operational requirements, acquisition, and business strategy—helping clients position differentiated capabilities, identify the right customers and partners, and accelerate the path from technology demonstration to fielded capability and revenue. Today, Mike advises defense technology companies on Counter-UAS strategy, market development, customer engagement, integration, demonstrations, and strategic partnerships, including serving ICR, Inc. as a consultant supporting its Counter-UAS portfolio. Previously, he held senior leadership roles with General Radar and Elbit Systems of America, where his work included strategic growth initiatives and the introduction of advanced tactical radar capabilities. Earlier, as Co-Founder and CEO of Strongwatch, Mike helped secure and execute multimillion-dollar force-protection programs for U.S. Army and federal customers.
